Privacy policy

Interim policy, 14 October 2026. This is a short, literal description of what our app collects and does with it today. It will be replaced by a fuller policy once the product leaves private testing. If something below is unclear, write to admin@cxn.bio and a founder will answer.

Who we are. CxN Corp., a Delaware corporation doing business as The Connection Company. 8 The Green, Suite R, Dover, Kent County, Delaware 19901. Contact: admin@cxn.bio.

Who this covers. Members of a pod using our iOS app, and the moderators who run them. The app is invitation-only and for adults.

What we collect

To sign you in: your phone number, and the one-time code sent to it. There is no password. You can add a display name and a photo.

What you say in your pod: every message and image posted in a pod’s chat is stored, with the time you sent it and the time zone you were in. Our software reads each message to work out whether it is a check-in or a commitment and records what it concludes, alongside your original words. If you post a screenshot of a sleep score, the score is read off the image and stored as a score from a screenshot, never as a device reading.

Your check-ins and commitments: what you committed to for each night, whether you said you did it, and your own words about it. Changes are kept as a chain rather than overwritten, so the record of what you committed to on a given day stays intact.

Your sleep score, if you connect a device. If you connect an Oura ring (or, when supported, a Garmin device), we fetch one sleep score per night from that provider and store it, along with the sign-in tokens the provider gives us so we can keep fetching. We store nothing else from the device.

Your calendar, if you connect it. If you connect Google Calendar, we are granted read-only access and read it once a week while preparing your next commitment. We store the access tokens, and we do not store your events.

The weekly pod call. Pods meet in a video call inside the app. We record who joined and when. A transcript of the call, attributed by speaker, is stored and summarised for your moderator. The call’s audio and video are not stored by us.

Calls and texts from your moderator. Your moderator can have the app call or text your phone number, for example when you have not checked in. We record that the call was placed and whether it was answered, went to voicemail, or failed. We do not record the call.

Your monthly self-assessment, a single score you give yourself, if your pod uses it.

Operational records: the app’s own notes for your moderator (drafts of messages, what the moderator decided), the dates and time zones of your days, and technical logs needed to run the service.

The website waitlist. If you join the waitlist on cxn.bio we store the name and email you give us, use them only to contact you about membership, and delete them on request to admin@cxn.bio.

What we do not collect

Your location. Your contacts. Health data beyond a sleep score. Your calendar events. Payment details (there is nothing to pay for). We run no advertising or analytics trackers in the app.

Who sees it

Members of your pod see each other’s daily check-ins and the pod’s dashboard, as the point of a pod is to be seen. Your moderator sees everything about their pod, including the agent’s drafts and the call transcript summary. Our founders can see all data to operate and debug the service. Nobody else, and we do not sell or share personal data for advertising.

Who processes it for us

We run on these providers, each of which handles only the part named:

How long we keep it

For as long as your pod exists and you are a member of it, and after you leave, so the pod’s past record still makes sense. Nothing is deleted automatically.

Deleting your data

Write to admin@cxn.bio from the phone number or email we know you by. Within 30 days we will delete your account, your messages, your check-ins, your sleep scores and your connected-service tokens. Messages from other members that mention you stay, as they are their record, not yours. Disconnecting a device or calendar can be done at any time from the Profile screen and stops all further collection from it.

Changes

This page will change as the product does. The date at the top is the date of the current version. Material changes will be announced in your pod.

Interim policy; to be superseded by the full privacy policy.
